Joseph D. Cronin
Is a commercial litigation trial attorney with 33 years of experience, who focuses his practice on bringing justice to the victims of business injuries. He is the founding and managing member of The Cronin Firm, a regional boutique litigation firm. Mr. Cronin has tried hundreds of jury trials, and obtained many favorable settlements for his clients. Mr. Cronin specializes in aggressively representing small to medium-sized businesses and their owners in cases involving business claims. The Cronin Firm offers cost-effective, value-added service to its clients. The approach is to be result oriented, opposed to unfocused billing for work that does not necessarily advance the ball.
Some of the cases handled by Mr. Cronin involve breach of contract matters, alleged breaches of non-compete agreements and/or covenants not to compete, construction litigation, collection matters, actions to enforce promissory notes, contract disputes, shareholder litigation, partnership litigation, labor disputes and many more claims.
As a former partner at Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young, a prominent Philadelphia law firm, Mr. Cronin was appointed co-chair of the insurance practice group. At Stradley, he tried many jury trials for the litigation department. The quality of his peers at Stradley, the quality of such firm’s work product and the overall experience he gained forms a basis for Mr. Cronin’s high level of service and work product for The Cronin Firm’s clients.
Mr. Cronin graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1988 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He then moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University School of Law, graduating in 1991. Throughout both college and law school, Mr. Cronin worked full time running his own construction and painting business. He also clerked at several firms to gain as much experience as possible prior to working full time as a lawyer. In addition, Mr. Cronin taught Tae Kwon Do, fought competitively and regularly participated in black belt tournaments around the country. This life experience was invaluable.
The Cronin Firm also handles claims on behalf of seriously injured victims of negligence, wrongful death cases, medical malpractice, construction accidents, defective products, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, premise liability accidents and nursing home negligence.
With Mr. Cronin’s real world experience and competitive nature, he has successfully fought to
Mr. Cronin is active in the Philadelphia community, and dedicates his spare time to the Support Center for Child Advocates as a volunteer attorney representing abused children of Philadelphia. Since 2006, Mr. Cronin serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Cronin is also a former CCD teacher. Mr. Cronin currently serves as a lector at his church and is on the Board of Directors for My Father’s House, a non-profit entity.
